The Four Chaplains Memorial of York County

York Excavating Company (YEC) began work at the Four Chaplains Memorial of York County, located at 500 Rockdale Avenue in York, PA, in partnership with Real Services.

The project includes demolition of existing concrete pads, stripping topsoil, stone placement, and grading of the work area, excavation for footers, and final site restoration following completion of other trades. Work is scheduled to begin and be completed in Spring 2026, with a tight timeline and careful coordination required due to existing memorials within the work area.

Throughout this project, we’ll be providing progress updates from the field while also sharing the story and legacy behind the Four Chaplains Memorial. It’s an honor to play a role in a project that carries such meaning for our community. The dedication ceremony is scheduled for May 25th, Memorial Day, and is open to the public.
