York Excavating Company is constructing this new school facility site through a site prime contract with the owner.
This new structure is being built immediately adjacent to an existing school and construction of the new high school is running concurrently with their operations. Completion of the new building is expected late first quarter 2020, allowing the owner to vacate the adjacent existing building at the end of the school year.YEC will then have to compete the demolition of the vacated school and the remaining half of its contract value in a three month window, ensuring the owner can resume operations for the start of the upcoming 2020-2021 school year. Scope includes installation & maintenance of erosion & sediment controls, clearing, installation of an interim varsity baseball field, demolition of the existing school, mass grading, rock removal, sanitary sewer and water main installation, stormwater conveyance, installation of large detention pond, installation of a new baseball field and large multipurpose practice field, fine grading and pouring of concrete curbs, fine grading and installation of concrete & asphalt stone bases, pouring of rigid concrete pavement and sidewalks, asphalt paving, landscaping, seeding, sod and installation of various site and athletic amenities such as bleachers, bollards, fencing, backstops, bases, pitchers mounds, guiderail, line painting and signage.
