At York Excavating Company, showing up means more than just getting the job done—it means being part of something bigger than ourselves.

This year, several members of the YEC team proudly participated in not one, but two Make-A-Wish Truck Convoys—joining drivers in both Gettysburg and Lancaster, PA to help bring hope to children facing critical illnesses.

The 25th Annual Truck Convoy for Wishes in Gettysburg once again brought together an incredible community of drivers, supporters, and families. Trucks lined up and rolled out from Battlefield Harley-Davidson, each one carrying more than just horsepower—it carried purpose.

MAW Gettysburg Drivers

Representing YEC in Gettysburg were: Jake (ELF driver), Adam (Concrete crew), Kristen (Tri-axle driver), Mark (Tri-axle driver), Brian (Vac truck driver), and Craig (Tri-axle driver)

For many involved, this isn’t a one-time experience. It’s a tradition—one that continues year after year, driven by a shared commitment to support something bigger than themselves. That commitment is rooted in something personal.

YEC participates in loving memory of the “Wonderful Good” Bev Kottmyer, whose heart and dedication helped build the foundation of these events. Her impact continues to be felt in every mile driven and every wish granted.

In Lancaster County, the convoy carried that same spirit forward. Held over Mother’s Day weekend, the Lancaster Make-A-Wish Truck Convoy once again showed the strength of the trucking community, with Angela and Justin representing YEC and continuing a tradition of support year after year.

Together, these events raise critical funds to grant life-changing wishes for local children—turning tough days into moments of joy, strength, and hope.

Proud of our team for showing up and being part of something that truly matters.
